Industrial Visit for IT Students Organized

The Information Technology Department of Tulsiramji Gaikwad-Patil College of Engineering and Technology, Nagpur, recently organized a One-Day Industrial Visit for B.Tech VI Semester students at Pragmatyc, MIHAN, Nagpur. The visit was planned to provide students with real-world exposure to software development management, corporate work culture, and placement-oriented applications.

During the visit, industry experts from Pragmatyc explained the software and web development life cycle and conducted an in-depth discussion on Agile development practices, Scrum framework, and modern software development methodologies. Students were given insights into corporate requirements such as handling client expectations, meeting project deliverables, maintaining documentation, and coordinating with stakeholders.

The experts also emphasized on the importance of professional communication, teamwork, and collaboration in delivering successful software projects. Students gained valuable knowledge about project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Slack, and Git, which are widely used in the IT industry. Information regarding internship opportunities in Development, Artificial Intelligence and Quality Assurance domains at Pragmatyc was also shared with the students.

Dr. Mohan Gaikwad-Patil, Chairman, GPG, Mr. Akash Gaikwad-Patil, Vice Chairman, GPG, Dr. Sandeep Gaikwad, Treasurer, GPGI, Dr. P. L. Naktode , Principal, Dr. Pragati Patil-Bedekar, Director (Admin) and Dr. Aasif Baig, Dean Academics congratulated all the students for their active participation in the visit. The visit was organized under the supervision of Prof. Abhay Rewatkar, Head of Information Technology department. Prof. Jayesh Fating worked hard for the success of industrial visit.
