राखेच्या ढिगाऱ्याखाली बुडून बापलेकाचा मृत्यू

चंद्रपूर, दि. २० डिसेंबर २०२३ : बुधवारी सायंकाळी पाच वाजताच्या सुमारास वरोरा तालुक्यातील नंदोरी येथे गिट्टी खाणीत मासेमारीसाठी गेलेल्या बापलेकाचा राखेच्या ढिगाऱ्याखाली बुडून मृत्यू झाला. रामचंद्र जंगेल (६०) व योगेश जंगेल (२७) अशी मृतांची नावे आहेत.

नंदोरी येथील काळ्या गिट्टीच्या खाणीच्या खड्ड्यांमध्ये पाणी साचले असून तिथे माशांची उत्पत्ती झालेली आहे. ट्रान्सपोर्ट व्यावसायिक पंकज जैन यांच्या मालकीच्या गिट्टी खाणीत स्थानिक मजूर रामचंद्र जंगेल व योगेश जंगेल हे दोघे बापलेक मासे पकडण्यासाठी गेले होते.

पाण्याजवळ जात असतानाच राखेचे ढिगारे खचल्याने ते पाण्यात बुडाले. घटनेची माहिती सोबतच्या दोन मुलांनी गावात जाऊन सांगितली. ग्रामस्थांनी घटनास्थळी धाव घेतली, मात्र तोपर्यंत बापलेकाचा मृत्यू झाला होता.

या घटनेमुळे परिसरात हळहळ व्यक्त केली जात आहे. स्थानिकांनी या घटनेचा निषेध केला असून खाणींमध्ये सुरक्षा उपाययोजना करण्यासाठी प्रशासनाला साकडे घातले आहे. घटनेबाबत पोलिसांनी चौकशी सुरू केली आहे.

Chandrapur, December 20, 2023: Two people, Ramchandra Jungel (60) and Yogesh Jungel (27), died tragically on Wednesday evening in Nandori village, Varora taluka, after a pile of coal ash collapsed on them near a black gravel mine. They were attempting to fish in water that had accumulated in a pit created by the mine’s operations.

The Nandori area boasts numerous black gravel mines, and over the years, hundreds of open pits have been dug for extracting these minerals. To avoid paying government royalties, these pits are often filled with coal ash from nearby thermal power plants. In some cases, water accumulates in these pits, creating the unfortunate and unsafe conditions present in this situation.

Ramchandra and Yogesh, local laborers, went to catch fish in a pit on the gravel mine owned by Mr. Pankaj Jain. However, as they approached the water, a large pile of coal ash suddenly collapsed, engulfing them and pulling them into the water beneath.

Two children accompanying them witnessed the incident and rushed to the village to alert others. Villagers quickly arrived on the scene, but tragically, by the time they reached the pit, both Ramachandra and Yogesh had already drowned.

This incident has understandably sparked outrage and concern in the community. Locals have spoken out against the unsafe conditions surrounding the mines and the lack of proper safety measures implemented by the mine owners. They have demanded the administration take immediate action to prevent similar tragedies from happening again.

The police have initiated an investigation into the incident to determine the exact cause of the collapse and whether any negligence played a role.

चंद्रपुर, 20 दिसंबर, 2023: वरोरा तालुका के नंदोरी गांव में बुधवार शाम को एक काली बजरी खदान के पास कोयले की राख का ढेर गिरने से दो लोगों, रामचंद्र जुंगेल (60) और योगेश जुंगेल (27) की दर्दनाक मौत हो गई। वे खदान के संचालन के कारण बने गड्ढे में जमा हुए पानी में मछली पकड़ने का प्रयास कर रहे थे।

नंदोरी क्षेत्र में काली बजरी की कई खदानें हैं और पिछले कुछ वर्षों में इन खनिजों को निकालने के लिए सैकड़ों खुले गड्ढे खोदे गए हैं। सरकारी रॉयल्टी का भुगतान करने से बचने के लिए, इन गड्ढों को अक्सर पास के ताप विद्युत संयंत्रों से कोयले की राख से भर दिया जाता है। कुछ मामलों में, पानी इन गड्ढों में जमा हो जाता है, जिससे दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण और असुरक्षित स्थिति पैदा हो जाती है।

स्थानीय मजदूर रामचन्द्र और योगेश श्री पंकज जैन की बजरी खदान के एक गड्ढे में मछली पकड़ने गए थे। हालाँकि, जैसे ही वे पानी के पास पहुँचे, कोयले की राख का एक बड़ा ढेर अचानक ढह गया, जिसने उन्हें अपनी चपेट में ले लिया और उन्हें नीचे पानी में खींच लिया।

उनके साथ मौजूद दो बच्चों ने यह घटना देखी और दूसरों को सचेत करने के लिए गांव की ओर भागे। ग्रामीण तुरंत मौके पर पहुंचे, लेकिन दुखद बात यह रही कि जब तक वे गड्ढे तक पहुंचे, तब तक रामचंद्र और योगेश दोनों डूब चुके थे।

इस घटना ने स्वाभाविक रूप से समुदाय में आक्रोश और चिंता पैदा कर दी है। स्थानीय लोगों ने खदानों के आसपास की असुरक्षित स्थितियों और खदान मालिकों द्वारा लागू किए गए उचित सुरक्षा उपायों की कमी के खिलाफ आवाज उठाई है। उन्होंने प्रशासन से मांग की है कि ऐसी त्रासदी दोबारा न हो इसके लिए तत्काल कार्रवाई की जाए।

पुलिस ने घटना की जांच शुरू कर दी है ताकि यह पता लगाया जा सके कि इमारत ढहने का सही कारण क्या था और क्या इसमें किसी लापरवाही की भूमिका थी।
