TGPCET Biotechnology Students Gain Hands-On Insights During Industrial Visit to Haldiram Foods
Nagpur: The Department of Biotechnology at Tulsiramji Gaikwad-Patil College of Engineering and Technology (TGPCET) organized an educational industrial visit to Haldiram Foods International Pvt. Ltd., a pioneer in the food industry, for its third and fourth-year students. The visit provided a practical understanding of the application of biotechnology in food production, offering students a deeper appreciation of its role in the industry.
During the visit, students explored the critical role of microbiology in enhancing the flavor, texture, and preservation of food products. They gained insights into advanced analytical techniques employed to ensure food quality and safety. A key highlight was the tour of the Quality Control Unit, where students observed stringent testing protocols designed to uphold the brand’s reputation for excellence.
The program was aligned with Program Outcomes (POs) 1, 3, 4, 9, and 10, emphasizing hands-on learning and industry interaction. Faculty members Prof. Dr. Rohit Kalnake and Prof. Soham Deshpande played a pivotal role in planning and coordinating the visit, ensuring a smooth and enriching experience for students.
