Nagpur :- Recently Civil Engineering Department of Tulsiramji Gaikwad-Patil College of Engineering and Technology (TGPCET), Polytechnic has organized industrial visit at “Vidarbha Ready-Mix Concrete Plant” for the students of diploma in civil engineering second year and third year. Er. Suraj Khamankar, Quality & Control Engineer, Asola, Nagpur, has shared his knowledge with students, which is useful for understanding practical knowledge of concrete technology.
The objective of the visit was to provide practical exposure to students about the manufacturing process of Ready-Mix Concrete (RMC), quality control measures, and modern machinery used in the construction industry.
During the visit, students observed the step-by-step process of concrete production including material handling, mixing, batching plant operations, transportation, and quality testing. Industry experts guided students on the importance of sustainable construction practices, safety measures, and latest technological advancements in concrete manufacturing.
The visit proved highly beneficial for the students, as it helped them to relate theoretical knowledge with industrial practices and enhanced their understanding of construction materials and processes.
TGPCET, Polytechnic strongly believes that no learning is complete without practical exposure and training.
