Industrial Visit to Ankur Seeds Pvt Ltd
The Department of Biotechnology Engineering at Tulsiramji Gaikwad-Patil College of Engineering and Technology (TGPCET), Nagpur, organized an enriching industrial visit to Ankur Seed Pvt. Limited, Nagpur, on 13th January 2025. This visit was specifically arranged for the B.Tech. second-year students to provide them with hands-on exposure to advancements in the field of biotechnology and plant breeding.
The visit offered students a unique opportunity to explore the cutting-edge research and development activities conducted at Ankur Seed Pvt. Limited, a renowned name in plant breeding and genetic engineering. Students were introduced to advanced techniques used in genetic manipulation and breeding, as well as the sophisticated laboratory setups essential for such research. They also had the chance to gain a deeper understanding of the Polyhouse facility, an integral part of modern agricultural research.
The success of the visit was made possible by the unwavering support of TGPCET’s management, including Chairman Dr. Mohan Gaikwad-Patil, Vice-Chairman Mr. Akash Gaikwad-Patil, and Principal Dr. P. L. Naktode. The guidance of Dr. Rohit Kalnake, Head of the Department of Biotechnology, and the efforts of faculty members Prof. Soham Deshpande, Prof. Pundlik Sorte, and Dr. Sapna Lonare, ensured a seamless and impactful learning experience for the students.
