Parents-Teachers Conclave Organized by Department of Basic Sciences and Humanities at TGPCET, Nagpur
Nagpur — The Department of Basic Sciences and Humanities at Tulsiramji Gaikwad-Patil College of Engineering and Technology (TGPCET), Nagpur, organized a grand Parents-Teachers Conclave on Saturday, April 19, 2025. The event witnessed an overwhelming response with the presence of over 360+ parents.
The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by esteemed dignitaries, followed by a motivational prayer “Itni Shakti Hume Dena Data” and a delightful musical performance by first-year students.
Dr. Pragati Patil-Bedekar, Vice-Principal, delivered the opening remarks, providing valuable insights into the institution’s journey and its commitment to holistic development. She touched upon important themes such as NEP 2020, engineers’ role in society, international collaborations, foreign language clubs, and the importance of values like patience, service, and dedication.
The event’s Chief Guest, Hon’ble Shri Shivaji Kuche—a renowned international motivational speaker and corporate trainer from Amravati—delivered an inspiring address on the theme “Learning is a Gift, Skill is a Choice”. Through captivating stories and real-life examples, he emphasized the importance of communication skills, confidence, attitude change, self-respect, politeness, neurolinguistics, and the power of thoughts. He also conducted a special meditation session, which was well-received by the attendees.
Dr. Prashant Kadu, Dean of RTMNU, Nagpur, graced the event as the Guest of Honour. Both guests were warmly felicitated by Dr. Pragati Patil-Bedekar and Prof. Pranjali Lute.
Many parents actively participated in the event, sharing their positive feedback and appreciation for the college’s initiatives. Prof. Nadir Husain delivered the vote of thanks, expressing deep gratitude to the guests and acknowledging the vital support of Shri Dr. Mohan Gaikwad-Patil, Chairman of GPG; Mr. Akash Gaikwad-Patil, Vice-Chairman; Dr. Sandeep Gaikwad-Patil, Treasurer; P.L. Naktode, Principal; Dr. Amey Khedikar, Registrar; and Dr. Anup Gade, Dean R&D.
The conclave was meticulously organized under the leadership of Prof. Pranjali Lute, with active coordination by the first-year faculty team. It was successfully conducted under the guidance of Dr. Mamta Takarkhede and Prof. Nadir Husain, Heads of the Department of Basic Sciences and Humanities. Prof. Amisha Malviya anchored the programme gracefully. The event concluded on a patriotic note with the National Anthem.
The conclave served as a meaningful platform for strengthening the bond between the college and the parents, fostering a collaborative spirit in nurturing the future of engineering students.
