Forum “INVICTUS” Reinstated at Tulsiramji Gaikwad Patil College; Guest Lecture Highlights Trends in Telecom Industry

Nagpur, July 17:

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) at Tulsiramji Gaikwad Patil College of Engineering and Technology (TGPCET) successfully organized the reinstallation ceremony of its student forum “INVICTUS” on July 16, 2025, at the college’s prestigious JRD Tata Hall.

The ceremony was held in the esteemed presence of Principal Dr. P. L. Naktode, with Mr. PrasantPawar, Project Manager at HCL Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Nagpur, serving as the Chief Guest. The program commenced with a formal welcome address by Ms. RohiniPochhi, Head of the ECE Department, followed by seamless event coordination by Forum Coordinator Ms. KalyaniSawarkar.

Marking academic excellence, the event featured a felicitation ceremonyhonoring the top three performing students from the First, Second, and Third Year ECE batches based on their Summer 2025 examination results. In addition, two students who earned NPTEL Elite + Silver certification and eleven students with NPTEL Elite certification were recognized for their achievements.

A badge ceremony was also conducted, inducting the newly elected student body of Forum “INVICTUS” from the Second, Third, and Final Year classes. The students took an oath of service, pledging to uphold the vision and mission of the forum, followed by an inspiring speech by the Forum President, who outlined the roles and responsibilities of each office bearer, encouraging teamwork, innovation, and active participation in all departmental and institutional initiatives

As part of the academic enrichment initiative, Mr. PrasantPawar delivered a guest lecture on the topic “Recent Trends in the Telecom Industry Integrated with Artificial Intelligence.” He emphasized the significance of blending theoretical knowledge with hands-on industry exposure, and encouraged students to continuously develop employability skills in accordance with evolving market needs.

The Department of ECE expressed its sincere gratitude to the college’s leadership including Hon. Chairman Dr. Mohan Gaikwad Patil, Vice Chairman Mr. Aakash Gaikwad Patil, Treasurer Dr. Sandeep Gaikwad, Dr.Geeta Gaikwad, GB Member Mr. Vinod Gaikwad, as well as Vice Principal Dr.Pragati Patil, Dean Academics Prof.Anup Gade, Dean IQAC Prof.RiteshBanpurkar, Registrar Dr.AmeyKhedikar, and all senior authorities for their constant encouragement and support.
